Thomas Wildermann

Thomas Wildermann joined the ENSI Board on 1 October 2025.

From 1990 until his retirement in September 2025, Thomas Wildermann held various roles and positions at the Baden-Württemberg Ministry for the Environment, most recently as Head of the Nuclear Energy Monitoring and Radiation Protection Department. Among other things, he was responsible for the licensing and supervisory procedures at the Neckarwestheim site and was involved in both national and international expert committees, such as the Nuclear Safety Standards Commission (KTA) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Thomas Wildermann studied physics at the University of Stuttgart and graduated with a degree in physics in 1988. In 1995/1996, he completed the training programme at the Baden-Württemberg Leadership Academy with an internship abroad at the Ontario Ministry of the Environment.
