  • Andreas Abegg (Chairman)

    Andreas Abegg has become member of the ENSI Board on 1 September 2019.  The Federal Council has appointed Andreas Abegg as the new Chair of the ENSI Board effective 1 November 2020.

  • Cornelia Spitzer (Vice-Chair)

    In her role as Vice-Chair, Cornelia Spitzer has been a member of the ENSI Board since 1 November 2020. Until her retirement at the end of September 2020, she held the post of Technical Project Manager, Division of Nuclear Installation Safety in the Department of Nuclear Safety and Security at the International Atomic Energy Agency…

  • Rafael Macián-Juan

    Rafael Macián-Juan has been a member of the ENSI Board since 1 January 2021. He has held the Chair of the Department of Nuclear Engineering at the Technical University of Munich since 2007.

  • Lisa Martinenghi

    Lisa Martinenghi has been a full member of the ENSI Board since 1 August 2020. Holding a PhD in civil engineering, she has been working in the field of geotechnical and hydrological consulting as well as environmental consulting since 1994 and is currently the managing director of an engineering company specialising in geotechnical consultation.

  • Catherine Pralong Fauchère

    Catherine Pralong Fauchère has been a member of the ENSI Board since 1 January 2020. In 2008, Catherine Pralong Fauchère took over as head of the Department for Protection Against Noise and Non-ionizing Radiation in the Environmental Agency of the Canton of Valais, where she was previously employed as a technical expert.

  • Paul Bossart

    Paul Bossart has been a member of the ENSI Board since 1 April 2022. Until his retirement at the end of 2020, Paul Bossart worked as head of the Mont Terri underground rock laboratory in Saint-Ursanne, canton Jura, at the Swiss Geological Survey at swisstopo.

  • Thomas Wildermann, member of the ENSI Board

    Thomas Wildermann

    Thomas Wildermann joined the ENSI Board on 1 October 2025. From 1990 until his retirement in September 2025, Thomas Wildermann held various roles and positions at the Baden-Württemberg Ministry for the Environment.
